It was all smiles at Esperance Retravision on March 3, when the team presented the Royal Flying Doctor Service WA Esperance Auxiliary with a cheque for $10,000 after another successful raffle fundraiser.

The store and RFDS volunteers sold a whopping 5,000 tickets to raise money for the vital regional health service.

Esperance local Cindy Swann was named the lucky winner, taking home more than $12,000 worth of prizes including a sparkling new washing machine, fridge and television.

Store manager Sally Forbes thanked the Esperance community and the staff at Esperance Retravision for their generous assistance to support the cause for another year.

The business donates most of the prizes to the raffle, making it a large gift to the community.

"This is the fourth year we have run the raffle and it's a pleasure to be associated with such a worthwhile community organisation. We all know someone who has had to use the services of the RFDS," she said.

"It's been an absolutely wonderful raffle and so many lovely volunteers from the RFDS have helped sell tickets, and thank you to everyone who bought tickets."

Ms Forbes said drawing the winner was a highlight for all with a good crowd of dedicated RFDS volunteers gathering at the store to share in the excitement.

"We rang the winner and she couldn't believe her good luck. Cindy was very excited and came straight down to have a look at the treasure trove," she said.
