The Esperance Growers Market will plant new roots at the Esperance Scout Hall in December, after more than three years in Nulsen.

The market has hosted events every second Saturday from 9am to 11am for the past eight years.

The group behind the event has recently started workshops to help the community discover the benefits of growing and using organic produce.

Esperance Growers Market spokesperson Geoff Tonkin said the new undercover location was more convenient for customers and producers.

"We are trying to promote the growing of fruits and vegetables locally and organically, and people with any excess can come along to the markets and sell it to the community," he said.

"The most important thing is that you are talking to the person who grows or produces the food, so you can get the whole history of the food cycle that you will be eating and feeding to your family."

The next event will be held at the Esperance Scout Hall on December 14 and 28, followed by markets on January 11 and 25.
