It's our favourite time of the week, a chance to reflect on the changes in Esperance, the faces and the fun that was being had 10 years ago this week.
Esperance's Island View Apartments was awarded a Silver medal at the WA Tourism Awards. Island View Apartments managers Jason and Katie Riggs said they were thrilled to take home the second prize in the Deluxe Accommodation category.
The Bijou Theatre opened its doors for the premiere performance of A Christmas Carol, and received rave reviews from the community. The timeless Charles Dickens classic was adapted by local librarian and playwright Jayne Arnold.
Excellence was celebrated at the Esperance District Vocational Education and Training in School Awards. Nineteen students, from Years 11 - 12, were nominated from a range of industries such as hospitality, business, engineering, agriculture, building and construction with Shanika Hutchison awarded student of the year.
The Esperance Men in Sheds facility was opened on Simpson Street after more than more than 3,000 hours of building.
