The Keep Esperance Beautiful group are getting ready for two community clean ups on Sunday, November 3 and Sunday, November 10.

Volunteers of all ages are invited to gather in the park at the corner of Fisheries Road and Remark Drive in Castletown at 8.45am on Sunday, November 3.

The crew will collect rubbish until 10.30am when volunteers will have the opportunity to meet with some Shire councillors and Ratepayer Association members.

On Sunday, November 10, volunteers will meet again to take on West Beach for the inaugural 'Under the Boardwalk' event.

Families and surfers will join forces to clean up the beach meeting at 10am in the West Beach car park.

Keep Esperance Beautiful coordinator Noel Fleming said the event was inspired by surfers concerned about the amount of trash being dropped over the fence and into the ocean.

"All surfers can come down and lend a hand, then let's have a display of all your surfboards leaning against the rail, followed by a paddle out," he said.

"This will be an annual event, let's start it off with as many surfboards as possible."
