Esperance Council Election, Chamber to host two forums

A chance to meet the Esperance council candidates

Electors will have a chance to ask questions to the candidates for the Esperance Shire Council Elections.

The Esperance Chamber of Commerce and Industry is hosting a Meet the Candidates Forum across two days.

A forum for candidates in the Town Ward will be held on Tuesday, October 8 from 2pm to 4pm. A forum for candidates in the Rural Ward will be held the same time the next day.

Both forums will be held at Suite 21, Dutton Arcade (upstairs).

The forums will include an introduction from each candidate, followed by a Question and Answer session.

Afterwards, electors will have the chance to chat to the candidates.

Any questions should be sent to Esperance Chamber executive officer Bronwyn McLeod prior to the day of the forum at Those wishing to attend are also asked to book.

Election packages have already been sent out.

Ballots must be handed in by Saturday, October 19 at 6pm to the Shire Administration Building.

However, voting in local government elections is not compulsory.

There are 10 candidates running for three spots available in the Town Ward and four candidates running for two spots in the Rural Ward.
