Restore Hope Foundation Esperance's Sleep Out smashed its previous fundraising record.
The sleep out on Friday, August 9 at the Esperance Sound Shell raised an estimated $11,000 for the soup kitchen.
The 2019 tally easily surpassed the record set in 2018 of about $6,000.
The event saw employees nominate their boss to sleep out under the stars and raise $500 or more for Restore Hope from colleagues and customers.
The Sleep Out saw 13 participants brave the cold and, at times, rainy weather.
Restore Hope board member Ben Pratt said the organisation was really happy with the turnout, which tripled last year's.
"We need funds for our organisation to continue," he said.
"Unfortunately we do have overheads, nothing is for free these days. All the funds raised help our organisation to continue."
Mr Pratt said the sleep ran in conjunction with WA Homelessness Week, August 4 to 10, and helped to raise awareness of the issue of homelessness.
