The search for Esperance man Thomas Dominic Rae has resumed this morning, with two teams of State Emergency Services personnel and police staff expected to search 30 kilometres of coastline today.

Friday, July 12, marks day six of the search for the 25-year-old.

The search was suspended on both Wednesday and Thursday afternoon as a result of strong winds and swell, as the weather conditions continued to hamper the search efforts.

Following the search on Wednesday, July 10, Esperance Police sergeant Alan Keogh said there were search activities planned as far ahead as Sunday, July 14.

The 25-year-old had been fishing on rocks with a friend near Warrenup Beach in Dalup on Sunday afternoon, July 7.

It is understood that the friend left briefly and, when he returned, he was unable to locate Mr Rae.

Authorities later commenced a marine and land search, with fears that Mr Rae may have fallen from the rocks.

On Monday, July 8, police divers and a drone operator arrived from Perth to join the search for Mr Rae, which included two Volunteer Marine Rescue vessels, the Department of Transport, two Surf Life Saving jet skis, State Emergency Services and local police personnel.

The Esperance Community has begun a 'Go Fund Me' Page for the Rae family, with more than $4,400 raised in 15 hours.
