It's our favourite time of the week a chance to reflect on the changes in Esperance, the faces and the fun that was being had 10 years ago this week.
Making front page news on July 22 was the uncertain future of a desalination plant in Esperance.
The project seemed to be a pipeline dream at that stage as the then-State Minister for Water Dr Graham Jacobs and the United Utilities couldn't find a common ground.
The project had been in the works for the past five years and was projected to cost $450 million.
According to the proposal, a pipeline was going to be built from Esperance to Kalgoorlie and would service the population along the line.
The previous Labor government rejected the plan after it was said to be economically unviable.
