Its our favourite time of the week a chance to reflect on the changes in Esperance, the faces and the fun that was being had 10 years ago this week.

Making front page news in June 2009, The Esperance Port Authority changed its plea to guilty across charges relating to the lead carbonate in contamination in 2007.

The Port Authority changed its plea to guilty in Kalgoorlie Magistrate's Court on June 10 after the Department of Environment and Conservation dropped the charge of causing pollution with criminal negligence.

Esperance Christian Primary School received more than $1 million worth of funding from the federal government as part of the 'education revolution'.

Both Esperance Community Arts and the Cannery Arts Centre were the major winners in the Shire of Esperance council's Community Development Fund, sharing $50,000 in funding.
