The region's peak sheep production association will host its annual conference dinner, with a focus on future opportunities for wool in fashion.
The ASHEEP Inaugural Conference Dinner, 'Farm to Fashion; Future Opportunities for Wool', will be held on Thursday, June 20, at the Esperance Bay Yacht Club.
The program will feature The Woolmark Company's junior editor Ella Edwards as guest speaker.
Ms Edwards was raised on a Merino sheep property in southern New South Wales before attending the University of Sydney and attaining an Honours degree.
In 2017, Ms Edwards began working with Australian Wool Innovation before taking on her current role in The Woolmark Company's marketing department.
Ms Edwards' presentation will highlight opportunities opening for the industry, social trends impacting consumer behaviour and how wool is meeting consumer demands.
The Wool Company's latest garments will be on display, along with items from the Country Road Traceable Merino collection, MaxMara denim suiting, and International Woolmark Prize winning garments.
The dinner will commence at 6.30pm, with tickets available via www.trybooking.com/book/event?eid=506630&
Tickets are $60.00 per person, with some early bird ticket available this week for $50.
