What's on in Esperance for May in June

The Jazz & Blues Club is set to entertain at the Loose Goose this weekend, Sunday, June 19. What a fabulous opportunity to sit, relax and listen to the spunk this town has to offer. So much groove from our talented local artists. This family-friendly event runs from 5pm until 8pm for just $5 entry.

Esperance Civic Centre continues with its fabulous May/June lineup of shows that offers something for everyone. Next up is A Taste of Ireland- The Music and Dance Sensation, from 7:30-9:30pm on May 23. Enjoy Irish accordion, paired with raw guitar and rhythmic banjo, combined ballads, songs and dance from across the counties and provinces as the audience is transported on a journey through the Celtic motherland.

The much-loved Possum Magic story by Mem Fox and Julie Vivas comes to life on stage thanks to the Monkey Baa Theatre company this May 27 and 28 at Esperance Civic Centre. Joined by an extraordinarily creative team, Monkey Baa brings to life the characters, journey and love that has made Possum Magic the most-loved and best-selling Australian picture book of all time. Adapted for the stage by Eva Di Cesare and director Sandra Eldridge, this show offers something for all ages.

The Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow is back from May 30 at Esperance Civic Centre. There are more than 80 destinations on the laugh-laden schedule, and many a laugh to be had with the Esperance lineup, which includes comedians Tom Cashman, Mawaan Rizwan, Paul Williams, Kirsty Webeck and Xavier Michelides, who are destined to tickle everyone's funny bone. So grab a mate, grab a date, grab a ticket and head to the Roadshow! Show starts at 8pm.

June kicks off with a bang, with The Waifs to perform at Esperance Civic Centre from 7pm -10pm on June 1. WHOOSH! is set to provide a unique performance suitable for those with a broad range of access needs, including those with multiple and complex needs and those on the autism spectrum, by Sensorium Theatre on June 6 and 8. Hop on board their spaceship and get ready for blast off! The production is a new interactive multi-sensory adventure that puts children with disabilities in the Captain's Chair!
