Esperance Youth Advisory Council hosts skatepark event

The Youth Advisory Council is holding a free event for locals aged between 12 and 25 years of age at the Esperance Skatepark.

The event will be held between noon and 3:30pm tomorrow, Friday April 26.

It will feature games, live music and food.

Shire of Esperance acting chief executive officer Shane Burge encouraged young locals to get involved and head down.

"The Youth Advisory Council is really important for this community in getting youth engaged in events and activities," Mr Burge said.

The Youth Advisory Council represents the interests and views of young people and provides opportunities to build connections between young people and with the wider community.

The council also promotes awareness of the talents and abilities of young people within the Esperance community.
