It’s our favourite time of the week – a chance to reflect on the changes in Esperance, the faces and the fun that was being had 10 years ago this week.

Making headlines in the March 13 edition in 2019, an independent national study found that Esperance residents paid the most in the state for general grocery items.

A farm in Condingup suffered more than $2 million worth of damage after fire ripped through one of sheds.

The 2009 Grass Patch Yabby Classic was described by organisers as the best ever, with more than 500 visitors during the weekend event.

Condingup residents evacuated their homes on Monday morning as a fire, believed to have started behind the tavern, threatened to rip through the small township.
