Three of the West Coast Eagles’ Premiership players will head to The Pier Hotel on Saturday afternoon, March 2, to take part in a family-friendly, two-hour show for the Esperance community.
Will Schofield, Jeremy McGovern and Mark Hutchings will host the event from 4:30pm until 6:30pm, holding a quiz for dedicated Eagles fans and auctioning off club memorabilia.
Tickets for the evening will be available at the bar from Wednesday, February 13, at $20 for adults and kids under 16 free.
Pier Hotel HR and marketing representative Cherrille Quilty said the event, which came to fruition just last week, would provide much more than simply a meet-and-greet.
“It was all quite quick, it only really eventuated last week,” she said.
“This is not a money-making exercise for us.
“They are coming to do a show in the format of the Footy Show.
“The players will be running quizzes, true and false and auctioning off some club memorabilia – it will not just be a meet-and-greet.
“We’re opening up the nightclub and the bar, kids will be seated at the front and adults will be seated at the back.”
Having received support from surrounding businesses and the Shire of Esperance in the lead up to the event, Ms Quilty said the business hoped to see several hundred people attend.
“We’re hoping to see around 300 attend,” she said.
“It’s going to be really good value for money, a great family day out.”
