BreastScreen WA’s van has been parked next to the RSL Memorial Park since Tuesday, February 5 and has already seen a strong response from local women.
Administration support officer Kim Finegan said the team had received a really good response from the community so far.
“It was booked out almost before we arrived and there are heaps of women coming in for questions still, which is great,” Ms Finegan said.
“Inquires and interest is really good.”
Ms Finegan said it was important for women to keep having their regular screens to ensure they were healthy.
“We do the screen to catch it before symptoms come in, the earlier we get it the easier it is to treat,” she said.
The van will be parked in Esperance until Friday, February 22, 2019.
The van service is providing free mammograms for women aged 40 or over.
