It’s our favourite time of the week – a chance to reflect on the changes in Esperance, the faces and the fun that was being had 10 years ago this week.

The January 16, 2009, edition looked at the increase in economic activity following the production of the first oil from Spitfire Oil’s new test reactor in Salmon Gums.

The edition also covered the delivery of special bagging equipment to remove more than 9,000 tonnes of stockpiled lead carbonate from Esperance Port and a string of violent offences in town.

The January 21, 2009 edition explored the measures necessary to make Pink Lake pink again and celebrated the achievements of local sporting star Pam Williams after she finished third in the Busselton Iron Man challenge.
