There has been a public report of a 2.5 metre shark sighted at Castletown Quays.
The shark was sighted at 3:35pm on Thursday, January 10, 2019.
The Shire of Esperance said the public report advised the shark was swimming towards the Castletown Jetty.
The species of the shark was not identified in the public report.
If you see a shark, report it to Water Police on 9442 8600 so other ocean users can be notified.
All shark sighting information reported to Water Police is provided to response agencies and to the public on the SharkSmart website and the Surf Life Saving WA Twitter feed.
Detections of tagged sharks will also appear on the SharkSmart website.
