The annual Nulsen in November Family Fun Day saw strong community support in spite of poor weather on Saturday, November 3.
Nulsen Primary School principal Dale Watkins said she was really impressed with the numbers of people who attended.
“It’s been a fabulous turnout,” she said.
“The weather doesn't seem to have put people off which is great.
“We try to get as many different organisations that support our community in to share the day with us and there are lots of inter-agency groups here sharing with the community what they do.”
Nulsen in November is run by the school’s P&C.
Ms Watkins said this year’s event was organised by a really strong and collaborative committee, led by P&C president Danielle McDonald.
“I would just like to acknowledge the committee who have worked for some time to bring the day together,” she said.
Local indigenous artists Trevor Jamieson and Melodie Reynolds-Diara ran workshops for children, which was a first for the event.
Eagles Football Club star Brayden Ainsworth featured as a special guest at the event.
The day also featured regular favourites including the water slide, the bouncy castle, many local delicacies and music.
The colour run was postponed due to weather, but will be held as a school activity at a later date.
