A day of fun activities and potentially lifesaving skills and information will be available for local families.
The Esperance Emergency Services Day will be held at the Esperance Skate Park from 10:00am to 2:00pm on Sunday, September 16.
The event is held every second year and will include bouncy castles, laser tag, rope courses, photo booths, face painting, tug of war, mascot races, local delicacies and many other attractions.
Esperance Volunteer Resource Centre coordinator Erica Austen said the event was designed to get information out to the community.
“In order to get information to the community, you've got to get the community to come to you,” she said.
“It’s not just emergency service workers showing what they do, it's also about personal preparedness.”
Emergency services groups will display and demonstrate various skills, including CPR and fire safety.
Ms Austen said the event was a good way to show support for people who work and volunteer to keep the community safe.
“If you happen to be thinking about joining an emergency service as a volunteer come down and talk to us,” she said.
