Newtown Condingup jumped Ports early, weathered a solid comeback and then kicked on to a nine goal victory over Ports.
Jacob Debeer got the home side off to the perfect start with a goal early.
Elijah Edwards then goaled before Debeer got a second all within the first 10 minutes.
Ports then hit back with two goals.
Newtown Condingup then saw Brayden Barker part the big stick and the first behind wasn’t registered until late in the quarter.
Newtown Condingup maintained their lead of four goals at half time thanks to Zac Wickstein and Craig Henderson’s efforts at ground level while Courtney Burnett and Ash McDonald controlled the air.
Ports had solid contributions from Cale Walker at centre bound downs and Jacob Buckley worked tirelessly but the stand out was Sam Curnow because of his ability to find targets in heavy traffic.
Ports lifted after half time with Pablo Bedetti prominent at centre half forward and Daryl Mogridge kicking three goals in about five minutes.
The margin was less than two goals but late goals to Barker and Troinski settled the ship and a goal just before the siren saw the lead to 33 points at three quarter time.
Newtown Condingup then put the foot down with a seven goal last quarter, they move into the Preliminary Final against Esperance with some players in good form.
Brayden Barker finished with six goals, Jacob Debeer scored three goals, Dane Holdman is rucking well and gets forward and scores, Lochie Cruttenden and Jacob Oversby compete hard in defence and Zac Wickstein and Craig Henderson are good midfielders.
For Ports it was another spirited display before being overrun but they had some good four quarter performers.
