The Buzz with Bernadette Pokela

The Peter Pan Musical showing at the Bijou Theatre is coming to a close with the last show Saturday 11th.

The absolute classic of Peter Pan tells the story of siblings Wendy, John and Michael Darling and their journey to the magical Neverland with Peter Pan, a mischievous boy who never grows up.

A fabulous show for the whole family, where audiences can expect two hours of fun, emotion and action.  Show starts at 6:30pm, tickets available at Esperance Senior High School reception or by phoning 9071 9555.

The town is buzzing with Moscow Circus excitement.  Shows will be running from the 8th -12th of August and can be booked via 0497 667 269, or visit www.thegreatmoscowcircus.com.au.

Esperance Jazz and Blues Club will be at the Loose Goose once again next Sunday the 19th. What a fabulous opportunity to sit, relax enjoy a meal whilst listening to some quality tunes from our talented local artists.

This family friendly event runs from 5-8pm, $5 entry. End the month with another giggle as Anthony Lamond productions present Australian Comedy Gold on August 29.

Stand-up comedians Rory Lowe, Josh Warrior, Bob Franklin & Lindsay Webb will have you in stitches.

Just a little sneak peak of a couple of the comedians in the line-up…Lindsay Webb who holds the world record for longest comedy gig, 36 hours a genuine Star off Australian Comedy.

He is the feature act or host at all the comedy clubs around Australia and a Fringe regular. Next up…Josh Warrior is a young indigenous performer who has returned earlier this year from touring London.  Josh Warrior is an Aboriginal Gigolo. What does that mean exactly?

He’s a ladies man — with a twist.  He tells his audience a bit about what it’s like growing up and living black, and his take his honest and very entertaining.  He educates his audience while breaking apart some stereotypes yet cheerfully reinforces others.

His comedy is fresh and interesting among what seems to be an ocean of sameness, but most importantly makes the audience laugh.  Be sure to secure your ticket from the Shire Administration, Library, Visitor Centre or online at the Shire website.

Tickets $25-30, doors open 7pm for an 8pm start.
