Esperance will finish on top of the ladder after a hard fought victory over Gibson by 14 points.
It was a low scoring affair in wet and freezing conditions under lights at Esperance Oval.
Both sides managed one goal in the opening term.
Rhys Wood for Esperance and Lochlan Hallam for Gibson otherwise the ball was repelled by both defenses as the condition made it hard to set up play.
Eseprance found the goals came a little easier in the second quarter scoring another three to Gibson to hold a 15 point lead at half time.
Brian Clinch and Anthony Ryan were the dangerous forwards for Esperance on the back of some solid work up field coming from Brayden Wood and Western Whitby.
Gibson hit back in the third quarter keeping Esperance scoreless and scoring two goals themselves.
They also looked most likely to score early in the final term on the back of Jordan McAllister and Patch Jannings continually pumping the ball forward with Sam Melican contesting hard at bounce downs.
Both sides were in deadlock with Jayden Symonds and Karl Newman giving away nothing in defence for Esperance until Brian Clinch kicked a clever goal to lift the dogs to victory.
Final score - Esperance 6-6 (42) defeating Gibson 4-4 (28).
Best players – Esperance: Brayden Wood, Western Whitby, Brian Clinch, Jayden Symonds and Karl Newman.
