Esperance man pleads not guilty to animal cruelty charge

A 61 year-old Nulsen man has pleaded not guilty to Cruelty to an Animal following an alleged attack on a dog.

The charges were brought in relation to an incident on Saturday, April 21 when the man allegedly killed his two-and-a-half-year-old Labrador Border Collie cross with an axe.

Thomas Norman Brown entered the plea before magistrate Sandra De Maio at the Esperance Courthouse on Tuesday August 7, 2018.

A directions hearing is set for November 6, 2018.​
