Esperance Civic Centre to host laughs

August, the month of laughter... enjoy a night out with family and friends.  The Esperance Civic Centre provides you with multiple opportunities with the explosive Over the Fence Film Festival on the 5th and the Australian Comedy Gold Festival on the 29th.

Over the Fence Comedy Film Festival presents you with amazing, cheeky views of 15 filmmakers as they unpack the peculiarities of being human in ‘The (Un) Making Of Relationships’.   Insights to topics such as Ghost Busters and their curious empathy…Are vegans pure?...Pineapples make for good relationships…What’s the real Snow White…Road-rage and blind dates don’t mix… will be just part of the evenings arrangement welcoming you to the world of dark comedy.  Tickets are now on sale for the Over the Fence Comedy Film Festival, 5th August, general admission $15pp M15+, 6pm.

After a successful Club 75 Intimate Acoustic Set in June, The Cannery Arts Centre and Kyza Present you Club 75, Vol.2 - so get amongst it!  Saturday the 10th, Club 75 will be held in the Pop Up Lounge Bar within the main building of The Cannery, and will provide a classy, laid back atmosphere from 6pm. Volume 2 of Club 75 features tunes by Christiane Smith, Joe Franzone, Demi Vandenberghe, John Ratcliff, Karen & Bernie.  The Cannery Bar will be operational with Vegetarian Roti available to purchase care of Esperance Sri Lankan Taste.  Exhibition, S.O.S. by local artist Larry Youngson will be available to view in the main gallery.  This event is 16+ with people under 18 to be accompanied by an adult. A wonderful way to view a large variety of local talent is in the 47th Esperance Music Festival which is all set to go for the 16-18th.  The program is available from the Dempster St Newsagency and Esperance Public Library for $5.

Morning Melodies is on again on 9th at the Esperance Civic Centre.  On the second Thursday of the month between 11am-1pm, you are invited to bring your lunch and $5 to the Esperance Civic Centre for some live music from 12-12.45pm with Anne Henderson.  What better way to spend your lunch break?
