Bay of Isles Comfort Style owner Sandi Twomey said she was humbled to have been awarded the Esperance Chamber of Commerce customer service of the month award.
According to the Chamber of Commerce, Ms Twomey was nominated for having delivered the best customer service the customer had received in town and for making shopping “a breeze”.
“She has helped me furnish my short stay holiday accommodation with fabulous prices,” the nominator said.
“She has changed my order three times with no obligation to purchase what already came in and reordered the next range with no hesitation.
“Her customer service is the best I have had in town by far and I am so glad I chose to support their local business and will do for years to come.”
Ms Twomey said she was humbled by the recognition and believed it was her job to ensure the customer had a positive shopping experience.
“Our job is to help people, serve people and make sure they have a good experience in the shop,” she said.
“That’s what it’s all about; have a feel-good shop and go home happy.
“You’ve got to be happy with what you get.”
Having owned the business for 11 years, Ms Twomey said the best part of her job was interacting with people and working alongside her hardworking team.
“The best part would be the customer contact and meeting people because I enjoy being amongst people,” she said.
“I really enjoy working alongside our team.
“It’s lovely to have received this [customer service award] but the whole team deserves it, too.”
As a recipient of the monthly award, Ms Twomey will go into the running to win the Esperance Chamber of Commerce’s Customer Service of the Year Award.
