A ‘Nature Play Day’ was held for pre-school aged children at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Primary School in celebration of National Family’s Week.
Escare development officer Natalie Symonds said the event held between 9:30am and 11:30am on Tuesday, May 15 was put together in partnership between Escare and The Esperance Early Years Network.
Ms Symonds said Escare held an event every year for National Family’s Week and the Nature Play Day had many benefits for early year learning.
“It’s about the importance of play in those early years in building cognitive skills for physical and social development,” she said.
“Of course for Family’s Week we want the parents and families to come in and create play with their children.”
Ms Symonds said the family and community support had been really positive.
