A talk by a gynaecological cancer survivor and women’s health advocate will be hosted by the Progressive Women Esperance at the Animal and Bird Park on Saturday, May 26 at 12:30pm.
Gynaecological cancer survivor and women’s advocate Kath Mazzella, who will be the guest speaker at the luncheon, along with her husband Tony work to help women suffering from gynaecological cancer and related mental health conditions.
Ms Mazzella was recently awarded the 2018 WA Senior Australian of the Year Award.
Progressive Women treasurer Jan Archer said the group decided to host the talk because some in the community had felt isolated with gynaecological issues.
“Kath has discovered that people don’t really talk about gynaecological cancer so we are having her here so people can become more aware,” she said.
“Hopefully people will be more open to talk about it.":
Tickets are available for $35 for members and $40 for non-members at the Esperance Shoe Shop.
Those who decide to attend are asked to wear either red or black.
