Esperance locals are invited to a free agribusiness innovation workshop on Tuesday March 20.
AgriStart managing director and co-founder Tash Ayers said the ‘Connect’ workshops would benefit both those in agribusiness and those looking to start a new project.
“The goal of this program is to provide opportunities for people working in agribusiness in regional WA who are looking for some new opportunities to innovate within their business or even to start a new agribusiness,” she said.
Ms Ayers said the workshops would be engaging and interactive, and local entrepreneurs would share their stories.
“It’s not going to be a ‘talkfest’, it’s really all about helping people to come up with a good business plan and strategies to access the funding for those plans as well,” she said.
“Participants work hard, so they will be thinking for themselves about how they can apply some of the strategies into their own business.
“It will cover lean business modelling and other techniques.”
‘Connect’ is a brand new series of workshops and Tuesday’s event will be the first held in Esperance.
It will run from 9am until 2:30pm at the Lotteries House at 3 Forrest Street, with morning tea and lunch provided.
The series is funded by corporate sponsors and the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development.
