Esperance Police release CCTV of theft

Esperance Police have called on the community to assist in identifying two people who stole a cash register from Ollie’s Café.

Around 1.18am on Tuesday, February 20, it is alleged two people gained entry to the restaurant on The Esplanade and stole a cash register from the premises before fleeing the scene.

Esperance Police senior sergeant Jenny Sara said the offenders smashed a glass panel and a lock at the front door in order to gain entry to the premises.

The offenders are not believed to have been familiar with the business.

From the CCTV footage obtained by police, the male offender appeared to be wearing a black hooded jumper with a white striped logo, long track pants and sneakers at the time of the incident.

The second person involved in the incident is believed to be a female.
