The Shire of Esperance is on the hunt for a talented local to design a banner for the state-wide ‘Banners in the Terrace competition.
This year’s competition, run by the state’s Local Government Association, will incorporate a “Ready and Relevant” theme.
Entrants are encouraged to interpret and incorporate the meaning of the keywords within their designs, considering how they are integral to the Esperance community.
The winner will be chosen through a Council vote, with the winning design to be digitally printed on a banner and exhibited in the City of Perth.
The banner will stand alongside those of 80 other local governments on St Georges Terrace and Adelaide Terrace during the Annual Local Government Convention in July 2018.
Shire President Victoria Brown said they were blown away with the number of entries and the amount of work that went into each design last year.
“We’re looking forward to seeing what participants come up with this year,” she said.
The winner will also receive a $100 voucher from a local business, with the two runners-up receiving $50 vouchers.
