Esperance Shire Council have called a Special Council Meeting for Monday, February 19, to discuss the motions brought forward at last month’s Annual Electors Meeting.
The meeting is set to take place at 5.30pm at the Esperance Council Chambers.
The meeting on January 30 saw around 200 people attend, with the majority passing motions on a number of local issues including council operations, the proposed nickel sulphate plant, the proposed waste site, the Tanker Jetty and costs to local businesses.
Following the Annual Electors Meeting, Shire president Victoria Brown thanked attendees.
“It is important that members of our community have the opportunity to raise topics that are important to them and we certainly saw that in action,” she said.
