Esperance children embrace creativity

More than 45 attendees have taken part in the free Brick Club session on offer as part of day four of the Esperance One and All Community Program.

The session was held at the Civic Centre on Thursday, January 11.

The Lego was supplied by the local Esperance Brick Club, which meet every Monday from 3.30pm until 5pm at Our Lady Star of the Sea Primary School.

Participants were given a number of building challenges based on themes including ‘outer space’, constructing and then discussing their lego creation.

The session was facilitated by Shire of Esperance club development officer Shane Tobin and Escare youth worker and program coordinator Linda Tobin.

This year’s program marks the first since a formal partnership was established between the Shire of Esperance, BOICO and Escare for the event.

The One and All Community Program aims to provide an array of free activities, games and challenges for all ages.

The Community Program wraps up on Friday January 12, with Sand Art at the Whale Tail from 10am until 11.30am.
