The Rotary Club of Esperance are gearing up for the 21st year of the Australia Day Family Fun Event at Adventureland Park.
The event was started by Rotarian Ewin Stewart in 1997 and has since become a popular day out for the Esperance Community on Australia Day.
The event will run from 9am until 2pm on January 26, with market stalls, food, live entertainment and activities for the whole family to enjoy.
Currently, organisers are expecting more than 50 market stalls at the event.
The Community Citizen of the Year will be announced by shire president Victoria Brown.
Shire of Esperance chief executive officer Matthew Scott said the event would hold a public affirmation for anyone who wants to reaffirm their citizenship.
“Generally, the event is just a fantastic opportunity for the community to come out and celebrate Australia Day,” he said.
“We’re just hoping that the weather is as good as it has been lately.”
Mr Scott extended his thanks to the event’s sponsors and those who would be attending on the day, including the Emergency Services, St John Ambulance and The Lions Club.
