Well, what a year it’s been! It’s hard to believe that another year has passed us by, and the holiday season is already upon us.
Make no mistake – this has been a tumultuous year for our nation. I have no doubt that in the years ahead, Australians will reflect on 2017 as a period of landmark reform.
The Government passed education reforms that will improve how funding is distributed to schools.
Over the decade, funding to schools in O’Connor will increase year on year by an average of 6.2 per cent.
I am proud to say I had some major wins in the Esperance region.
Five of the nine mobile black spot towers for this area have gone live.
I delivered a promise for a $3.1 million capital grant for the much-needed expansion of the Esperance Aged Care Facility.
It was also a pleasure to open my new office on Dempster Street to make it easier for locals to put forward their concerns.
From my family to yours, warm wishes for a Merry Christmas and a safe and prosperous New Year.
