IT was a beautiful day for a run on the trails of Wireless Hill last Saturday, with a course set by Kerry Polkinghorne.
It was hilly and challenging, but fun and picturesque.
Runners had a choice of 2.4-kilometre or 6km distances, while there was just one distance of 2.4km for the walkers.
There were five takers for the longer distance.
Jamie Toll was first back, followed by visitor Tim Roach, then Howard Reddyhough.
In the 2.4km run Rachel Howe took out the honours, with Nathan Cassam second, and Mel Frost and Chad Tate finishing third and fourth.
Chris Cassam was an easy winner in the walk event.
Maureen Dickason was second, and then Abbie and Leanne Cassam third.
Next week’s event is at the usual time of 4pm on Saturday, and the start venue is the car park at the start of Castletown Quays, near the Phyllis Street intersection.
