A 34-year-old Kalgoorlie man has been charged by Esperance Detectives, following an armed robbery at a liquor store on Pink Lake Road.
Detectives will allege around 10pm, on Monday December 4, the offender set off a security alarm at the Liquorland store, prompting a female staff member to return.
Upon arrival, the offender then allegedly threatened the staff member of the store with a piece of wood.
After threatening the staff member, the offender then allegedly made her reopen the liquor store and supply him with alcohol before running from the store and heading toward Harbour Road, wearing black knee length shorts and no shirt.
The man has been charged with Armed Robbery and is due to appear before the Esperance Magistrates Court Wednesday, December 6.
