A 22-year-old man has been charged after crashing his car into a power pole in Castletown and fleeing the scene.
The Castletown man was alledgely driving recklessly before he lost control of his Holden Commodore utility and crashed into a power pole at the intersection of Renmark Drive and Fisheries Road around 6.15pm on Saturday, November 11.
The man left the scene, failing to report the crash before Esperance Police were called to the location and later found the driver at his home.
A breath test was conducted and he was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving and no authority to drive (suspended).
The 22-year-old will appear in Esperance Magistrate Court on 5 December.
