Nulsen Primary School have celebrated National Aboriginal and Islander Day Observance Committee by holding an excursion for 180 students.
The students, aged from Pre Primary to year six, attended the excursion at Mandaboornap where Janelle Reynolds shared traditional Aboriginal hunting and gathering techniques as well as the Dreamtime story for the area.
A spokesperson for Nulsen Primary School said the annual excursion, which the school has offered for many years, was an ‘amazing’ day out.
“The weather was awesome and the students were great,” she said.
The students traveled to Le Grande beach to participate in sand sculpting activities, followed by a sausage sizzle at Lucky Bay concluded the excursion.
Nulsen Primary school thanked all of the parents and staff who attended and assisted on the day.
