Two recent shark sightings have been reported in the region the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development.
A white shark of unknown size was sighted at Kelp Beds yesterday around 6.40am and a 3.5 metre shark was sighted at Lion Island around 3pm.
The Department warned it was possible these recent reported sightings may increase the likelihood of encountering a shark in this area.
The Department advised obeying beach closures, taking extra caution at Wylie Bay, keeping up to date via SharkSmart or the Surf Life Saving WA’s Twitter feed.
