Shark Lake Food Group to face dumping allegations in court

Shark Lake Food Group Pty Ltd will have to wait until 2018 to fight off dumping allegations in court.

The company, which went into administration in February, appeared in front of Magistrate Felicity Zempilas in the Esperance Magistrates Court last Tuesday.

Magistrate Zempilas listed the former abattoir’s one charge of material discharged by business or commercial into environment, for call over on November 14 to set a trial date.

It’s estimated a three-day trial will be required. Defence Lawyer Ken Bates said several members of the company were Esperance-based and requested the trial be held in locally, to which there were no objections.
