Restore Hope Foundation holds Esperance sleepout

Restore Hope Foundation Esperance have raised more than $5000 by kicking local bosses out on the street for charity.

As part of National Homlessness Week, local businesses were challenged to raise $500 or more to have their boss spend a night on the streets, or more specially the Esperance Soundshell.

Restore Hope director Ben Pratt said the money raised would go towards helping locals in need.

“The major point made throughout the evening is that the foundation is 100 per cent local and 100 per cent volunteer run, no one draws wages and therefore we can give more assistance to those in need,” he said.

“The subject of Homelessness was also raised and explained that not only is it people living on the streets in cardboard boxes but people who stay at mates’ places, people who have no fixed address.”

Mr Pratt said it was also a great opportunity to network with locals business owners.
