A Geraldton man was arrested in Esperance for making threats to the public

Esperance police have arrested a man who was threatening people while armed with a pair of scissors on Thursday night at 9.40pm.

The 39-year-old man allegedly approached a man and a woman on Hamersley Street and began threatening the couple.

Police found the man on Andrews Street where he was arrested and taken into custody overnight.

The man from Geraldton will appear in the Kalgoorlie Magistrate Court from Esperance, charged with being armed in public so as to cause fear.
