Cheeky theft in Esperance pub

A British backpacker who allegedly seduced men at a local pub to take their wallets, has been charged with stealing.

The 26-year-old was allegedly caressing men to distract them while she took their bank cards.

She was also charged with possessing stolen property, after she was allegedly witnessed trying to hide bank cards in her underwear.

Acting Senior Sergeant Ben Jeffes said the woman had been drinking a the Pier Hotel and had been asked to leave the premises. 

Outside the pub, on the footpath she allegedly tried to steal another man’s wallet, however he realised, returned and notified the manager. 

She is expected to appear in the Esperance Magistrate’s Court at a later date.
