Esperance police has confirmed a Mitsubishi Triton towing an empty car trailer rolled on the Cascade-Lake King Road approximately 20 kilometres north of the Cascade township.
Police allege two people were in the vehicle when it crashed before 12:45pm on Friday, February 17.
Motorist who found the vehicle had to drive towards Esperance to reach mobile phone reception to phone emergency services.
The driver was a 79-year-old Castletown man and was travelling with a 35-year-old woman passenger.
The occupants sustained minor injuries
Police, St John Ambulance and Volunteer Fire Fighters attended the scene.
Police allege speed and road conditions were a contributing factor in the crash.
Esperance Police Station Constable Jon Round said urged motorists to drive to conditions.
“Police are urging drivers to curb their driving habits to suit the road conditions they are travelling on. The recent rainfall has left some of our roads in a poor condition,” Constable Round said.
“It’s better to slow down and arrive a few minutes later than to risk serious injury.
“It was fortunate the occupants of this crash escaped with only a few cuts and bruises.”
