Esperance Photographers Club held it's 2016 biennial exhibition

Esperance Biennial Photography Exhibition and competition opening was held last week.

Winners of the twelve awards were given cash prizes for their artistic works.

Dr Graham Jacobs opened the evening and Doug Murray was the master of ceremonies.

Esperance Photographers Club president Julie Wyllie thanked the hard working committee for their tireless efforts to present this years exhibition.

The event gives the people of Esperance an opportunity to showcase their work nin a public gallery and have their photography critiqued by Western Australian Photographic Federation president Kingsely Klau.

Mrs Wyllie said it was encouraging to see work from the youth of the future being produced and presented by them at the exhibition.

“The youth have entered some stunning photos from different perspectives and I would like to personally commend their work,” she said.

“I would like to thank our generous sponsors for their support, they are the backbone of a strong community especially one as isolated as ours.”

The exhibition is open until May 28 at the Cannery Arts Centre.
