A PILE of litter was left on the sand at Wylie Bay last weekend.
Esperance shire chief executive officer Matthew Scott said individuals had to take responsibility for their own rubbish and dispose of it responsibly.
Mr Scott said the council did not supply rubbish bins to the area.
"Council does not supply infrastructure at Wylie Bay because the lack of infrastructure is part of the appeal of the place," he said.
He said that individuals must look after the natural habitat of Wylie Bay.
"People who take responsibility for their environment and choose not to litter take their rubbish with them when they leave an area like Wylie Bay," he said.
