A taste of being under the stage lights

BUDDING young thespians were given a taste of being under the stage lights at the Bijou Theatre on Monday morning as the first school holiday theatre workshop of the week took place.

Between 9am and 11am, acting teacher Danny Ellefsen directed 19 young aspiring actors aged eight to 13, exploring basic theatrical skills and improvisation.

The workshops continue this week as the participants create their own original plays based on classic fairytales.

Dress rehearsals are on Friday, with a performance for families on Saturday between 10am and 11am.
