Skydiving for hope

FORMER Esperance residents Cale Hill and Thea Chadwick are preparing to throw themselves out of a plane at an altitude of 14,000 feet to raise funding and awareness of mental illness.

The duo will Skydive for Hope on Saturday, November 24, and are seeking donations from the Esperance community to support the Restore Hope Foundation.

A keen advocate and supporter of the Restore Hope Foundation, Mr Hill said he hoped the skydive would help the Esperance-based charity in supporting residents living with mental health issues.

“On a recent visit to Esperance, I was able to spend time with the Restore Hope Foundation founder Chris Boland, as we delivered soup, meals, and bread to assist more than 70 people in need,” he said.

Mr Hill said the increasing cost of petrol was posing a challenge for the foundation.

“The cost of travelling to-and-from Kalgoorlie on a regular basis will be significant, and I hope the Esperance community will support Thea and I in our attempt to raise some funding towards this,” he said.

If you would like to support the event, contact Cale Hill on 0426 502 038 to pledge your donation.
