Esperance Senior High School will begin performing Disney’s ‘The Jungle Book KIDS’ tomorrow at the Bijou Theatre.
The production, on November 16, 17 and 18, is a high-energy, hour long musical based on the Pudyard Kipling novel and 1967 Disney film.
The cast will be led by Esperance Senior High School english teacher Liz Elliott, with eight students in the backstage crew, led by Sally Elliott, and a band of three students led by teachers Brad Oversby and Fiona Lemon.
Ms Elliott said the students performing had been ‘delightful’ to work with.
“For most of them, this is their first experience at performing in front of an audience, so they are extremely excited,” she said.
“They have been a hard-working group; quick to learn and lots of fun to teach.”

The production is presented through a special arrangement with Music Theatre International, which provide an annotated musical for performance by high school-aged students.
