Kyron Smithson discusses Esperance and Districts Agricultural Show busking

Thank you to everyone who dropped past and had a listen to the busking stage at the Esperance show last weekend.

Thank you to the show committee for having us along also to the crew who played over the two days. Really was a fantastic experience, which hopefully will kick back into action at next year’s event.

Golden also was the return of Evergone to Esperance, Mike and Pete certainly know how to put on a cracker of a show. Big ups to ProudMouth music for getting the lads down, and rest assured we will catch the duo again soon.

So a group of us hit the road this weekend to play an E13 session in Kalgoorlie.

Pete McMahon, Rachel Vibart, Steve and Deena West and Grand Casual will throw down some Esperance vibes at the Kalgoorlie Community Gardens this coming Saturday the 28 th of October.

There is a great deal to benefit from the exchange of music between Esperance and Kalgoorlie and this mini tour hopes to open up new possibilities.

Each Esperance act performing in Kalgoorlie was part of the highly successful Songs From The Southern Edge project and this mini tour seeks to launch the cd and a selection of its sounds to Kalgoorlie’s live music scene.

If you have friends or family in Kalgoorlie let them know the gig is happening, if their keen to head along search for E13 Sessions on Facebook and follow the links there.

Chris Pope touched base with myself many months ago with the idea of sorting some dj sets at the local Esperance skatepark.

That idea came to fruition on the 6 th of August with free dj sets rolling across the skatepark presented by Chris Pope and KyzaPresents.

Sunday the 29th sees the second installment with Dj Nevster and Chris Pope diving on the decks to breathe some tasty tunes into the locale.

Join the lads at the Skatepark from 2-5pm weather permitting.

A nice weekend of tunes to roll out in Esperance this weekend, kicking off with Rachel Vibart live at Taylor St Quarters Friday 27 th of November from 6pm.

Swing on down for your casual after work beverages. Saturday sees Bottom Of The Barrel return to the stage at the Esperance Motor Hotel, dive on in from 8.30 pm for a rocking good time.

And finally Sunday 29th from 4pm at Taylor Street

Quarters sees a fantastic all acoustic lineup featuring Leila and Kurtis, Emily Altieri and Bec Schutz.

A truly talented lineup of local crew not too be missed.
